Easy Running

This past weekend we had what I would refer to as a recovery weekend. We ran only 9 miles on Saturday. I remember when that seemed like a fairly long distance, but now it seems like a recovery distance:) How funny? I guess it is all relative. Sunday, I met one of my teammates and we ran a 10K in Danville. It was fun and it was a beautiful day and we enjoyed ourselves.

I am generally running about 5 days a week now and averaging between about 35-45 miles per week. This is about double what I was doing less than a year ago. I am having no issues other than "dead legs" as I would call it but I think that is just from the weight lifting and all the hill running that I have incorporated into my schedule. My ankles seemed to have recovered nicely from the torture session I put them through the previous weekend.

This upcoming weekend I have the 25K Quicksilver race in San Jose, CA which is 15.5 miles. I am not sure about the course but I think it is supposed to be very challenging, but that seems to be the case with all the trail runs anyway:) No problem - I just get out there and do it!

Let you know how it all turns out!
